Florian 'Lotharsson'
Hæ! I'm Florian
Iceland has been at the top of my bucket list for a long time. On my first trip, Iceland completely captivated me.
The waterfalls, the volcanoes, the ice of the glaciers, all of it amazed me. But I was particularly fascinated by the solidified lava fields overgrown with moss and led us to our colors.
This fascination is the cornerstone of our brand.
That's why it's so important to us to preserve this nature, which is why we support various projects and organizations!

Angélique 'Wolfgangdóttir'
Hæ! I'm Angi
Iceland has always appealed to me because it has so many spectacular natural phenomena to offer and reinvents itself with every season. Iceland exudes a magic that simply captivates you.
I am very pleased that FILJÓS combines many building blocks in my life: travel and nature, sustainability, nature conservation, animal welfare and social commitment.

Jessica 'Pippodottir'
Hæ! I'm Jessica
Breathtaking landscapes, volcanoes, and puffins—everything that makes my heart beat faster. Iceland has the ability to captivate everyone. With FILJÓS, I have the opportunity to express my love for the island.
With Florian, Angélique and my camera in hand, I traveled through Iceland for you to take snapshots not only of the beautiful collections, but also of Iceland's unique nature.
I would be delighted if each of you had the privilege of visiting this island once. Until then, I hope you will always carry a part of Iceland with you with FILJÓS.

Lisa 'Lydiasdóttir'
Hæ, I'm Lisa!
Iceland has always fascinated me. My interest in this beautiful island was sparked as a little girl by the unique breed of horse – the Icelandic horse.
They are like nature: wild, diverse and my personal inspiration for our creations.
Sustainability, resources, and animal welfare are very important to me. We always use these criteria to select the projects we support with donations.

Iceland's naming
More Iceland knowledgeSurnames in Iceland are unique and different from our usual surnames. They are based on the North Germanic naming system, also known as the patronymic naming system.
What does this mean?
When Icelanders have children, they choose their first name freely.
However, the surname is made up of three components:
1. Father's first name
2. A connecting 's'
3. A 'son' for a son and a 'dóttir' for a daughter
An example of this is our Florian: His father was called Lothar and so his surname in Iceland would have been 'Lotharsson'.
Icelanders can now also pass on the mother’s first name instead of the father’s (matronymic naming system).
Here's an example with our Lisa: Her mother's name is Lydia, so her last name in Iceland would be 'Lydiasdóttir'.
Of course, there are other names in Iceland, but they are the exception and often have foreign origins.
